Located in an extensive and historic park is the Gunton Arms, a stunning gastropub found outside of Cromer, North Norfolk. After new ownership in 2009, the pub was transformed from an old country house into one of the most sought-after spots in the UK. The head chef, Stuart Tattersall who was formerly at Mark Hix, uses from local ingredients including venison from the surrounding deer park. Alongside this, the pub also serves a delicious selection of seafood including mussels and the Cromer crab sourced by the local fisherman.

If you wish to stay, the Gunton Arms offers rooms in the Main House, the Coach House and the Barn House. For larger groups of up to 6 adults and 2 small children, the Suffield Lodge is a luxury four-bedroom flint and thatched cottage located on the estate.

What is around the Gunton Arms?

With endless walks available in the one-thousand-acre deer estate, there is plenty to see and do in the area around. The long sandy beaches of the North Norfolk coast are four miles away, whilst the Norfolk Broads offer a variety of historic sites and churches dating back to the Middle Ages. There are also exquisite golf courses nearby, including courses in Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley.
